Hanzan and Marugame Castle

So good to see Aachan again! I haven't seen my Grandmother since July.
Here we are in front of the beautifully well preserved 17th Century Marugame Castle .

This picture of me and Aachan was taken right outside their front door. In rural Japan you can the rice fields and Inoyama, othersise know as Small Mount Fuji.

Missing Daddy !! ??

I'm having such a great time visiting my Grandparents in Japan. The food here is amazing and I'm trying to read up on my Shinto and Buddhist roots. Its fun to meet so many of my cousins here but it is kind of embarassing with all the atttention I'm getting. OK, you're right, I really enjoy all the attention.

The only problem is that I miss my Daddy. He's back at home 'taking care of business', as they say, and will join us a few days from now. I can't wait to show and tell him about all the new things I've been doing.

Sure, Mommy and Daddy are excited to be on their first overseas family vacation but its me that's going to enjoy it the most.

Japan, here we come

En Route to my Mommy's hometown of Hanzan, Japan

Mommy and I went to visit family in Japan.
Daddy will join us in a few weeks.
Wow! It's a good thing that this business class seat is so big. I need to relax after the changing timezones and, oh yeah, another flight delay.

Our First Fall Weekend

We're all very excited about the first family trip to Japan. To prepare menatally for the long journey we all needed a weekend away from the city. It was a busy weekend trying to stay stay warm, hiking, and just playing around.

I'm just trying to keep myself toasty by the fire. Hey, this table is just the right height for me to pratice my cruising.

Hiking with my Daddy makes me soo happy.
