Today was the first day to be with mommy alone during a day. but I am fine! I didn't make any trouble for my mommy!!
今日から昼間はママと２人です。でも、ミリアムはとってもいい子でした。今日あたりから急によく喋るようになり、見てるだけでも飽きません。

Miriam's grand mother, Aachan left for Japan today. Miriam is very sad that she is gone now. Can't wait to see her again!
あーちゃんが日本に帰ってしまいました。さびしいな。早くまた会いにきてね。

Miriam Sakura's new baby cousins arrived April 21st @ 6:08 and 6:11 pm. Charlie and Aaron were both greeted by a courious Big Cousin Baby Miriam Sakura. Mommy and Daddy are doing great. Auntie and Uncle M & J are thrilled and amazed.

We went up to Bubby and Zaidy's cottage over the weekend.
Miriam loves nature as much as we do! We cannot wait to take her to her first canoe trip very soon!!

Preparing Special Aachan Maki

It was a busy night preparing the food for the Naming Party for Miriam 桜良. 桜良のために太巻きやおいなりさん、てんぷらなど、たくさん準備をしました。みんなに喜んでもらえるといいな。


Witnessing all the activity, Miriam 桜良 is getting really good at getting her hand in her own mouth. たまにまぐれで親指が口にはいりますが、まだげんこつ全部が入ってる状態です。

Not Really a 'Quiet Night at Home...'

and that's just fine. Miriam Sakura practically insisted that I play a tune. Thanks to my parents, my mother-in-law, my amazing wife, and Miriam Sakura's Great Grandfather for the great new classical guitar. What a great 35th birthday present. Now I just have to learn to play something classical, like The Elephant Song, or Wheels on the Bus.

Karate or Dancing?

Very busy getting that coordination thing down. Hands sometimes finding her mouth. Sometimes not. Here, we're not sure if she is practicing some Karate or doing Rocker'Roll Shuffle. Entertaining nonetheless.

Make sure there's enough Sake!

This was taken during a family meeting to discuss Miriam Sakura's upcoming Baby-Naming Celebration. She only added that we should make sure there is enough Sake for everyone. Don't worry, mochiron, of course!

Mommy and Miriam play with Daddy's new classical guitar. Look how happy Miriam Sakura is, giggling when she hears mommy hit that high open E. During the 9-month pregnancy, our home was filled with music. Daddy promises to try and learn some nice songs for Miriam Sakura and her friends.

Who said a two-month can't smile?

Some 'experts' say that at only 2 months Miriam Sakura should not really be smiling yet. But to those lucky enough to have seen her smile they know that there is no denying it. Infectious, to say the least. She's learning early that a wink and smile is all she needs to get Daddy to melt into a puddle of joy! Whatever you want Mira-chan!

Can you believe Miriam Sakura is One-Month Old already?

Our little girl is already 1-months old. It's been the best two months of Mommy and Daddy's life. We are so thrilled and thankful for a happy and smiling little girl.

We still promise not tell the uninitiated that, "life as you know it will change forever." Somethings are just better to discover on your own.
